WHAT A YEAR it’s been! After a whole year of waves of lockdowns, social distancing, mask-wearing, making difficult decisions of not going to visit family (it’s been almost 2 years of not seeing them) and saying no to meeting up with friends, ZERO travel, not getting on public transit, not taking cabs, avoiding crowded areas, baking bread, attending virtual parties, elbow tapping to say hi… this was our FIRST trip outside of the city…
I often get questions from friends and family on what to do in Barcelona, What’s worth it, what to spend time on, where to go- So, as I near the 1 year mark of discovering Barcelona, I thought I would share my top 5 (and an additional bonus!) recommendations for things you must do/places you must visit when you’re in the city! Hopefully my experiences save you a lot of time and effort, or at the least give you more information on all the amazingness this city has to offer!

Every turn had this cute little spot or house or restaurant or shop that I absolutely couldn't help but capture! The weather wasn't that great to walk around in but there was so much beauty EVERYWHERE, I suppose the rain just added more of a charm!
I feel sometimes we get so caught up with the world-all about looks, and that perfect body, and those perfect clothes -can't help but feel 'not enough' at times - there's always room for a little reminder, a little push, a motivating message that only you can see and feel - reminding you that ‘you're a sexy beast’.
For years since the time I was in University, all my holidays, every vacation, would be spent going to visit my parents and family back in Tanzania. My fiancé R is also originally from Tanzania and ever since we started dating we’d also end up going back together. After some time, we took our first trip (outside of Tanzania) together to New York City and discovered our mutual love for travel. From then on, we made lists and lists of places to visit, which we slowly ticked off.
There were SO many places to visit but in 4 days, there’s only so much you can cover. So, here are a few things I did, places I visited, what I liked and what I didn’t like (there really wasn’t much here!).
I went to Paris at the end of June, so 3/4 days turned out to be rainy (Boo!), but it was still such a great trip!
Okay, so when I initially made my coffee list, I think I was a bit overly ambitious and thought I could get through 6-7 places in approximately three and a half days. Right, I know what you're thinking-Crazy over Coffee?!! Indeed!! ;)
